Anika Leszkowicz-Hansford

Anika Leszkowicz-Hansford is our ION Skating Academy Director. She has 17 years of competitive figure skating experience, a USFSA double gold medalist in Moves in the Field & Freeskate and 5 years of coaching experience in NYC. PSA Certified, PSA Basic Accredited, and USFSA Certified. For the past 3 years she has gone to coaching seminars around the country and overseas with students to summer camps in Switzerland, Italy, and Estonia to learn and grow from the top coaches of figure skating including Aleksei Mishin, Brian Orser, and Alexander Abt. Here is a few words of her goal when teaching students:

“Everyday I am able to share my love of skating with kids and adults, I count as a blessing. When I see a child take their first steps across the ice individually with a huge smile on their face is a goal I desire to aim for with all skaters who step on the ice. There are so many options when it comes to ice skating and my goal is for anyone who comes to ION finds their place, feels welcome, and has fun all at the same time!"
